Rusty was alone and surrendered from the same owners as Mouse. While he's an oldie, he is still quite spirited and can tough it with some young ferrets as seen below.
Medical
Rusty was raised on a non-ferret kibble which has caused weight fluctuations. When he entered the rescue, he was 1200g. Trying to swap him to ferret kibble and meat diet led to weight loss to 950g. Leaving meat diet plates (soup) in their cage led to a weight gain back to 1132g (2024/08/17).
